Algebra vs. Calculus


1. The difference between finding the limit at x= c and plugging in the number x=c is when you find the limit at x=c is when is you're finding the limit as your output values get closer to that constant. When you're plugging in x=c , you re finding the exact answer when you plug in the constant which gives you a specific answer. I dont really know when they're the same so i'm not gonna give a Bee-S answer lol.



2. Finding the slope of the line is similar to finding the derivative because finding the derivative of a curve is equal to the slope of a line. You still use the same concept of rise over run. For example you use y2-y1/x2-x1 to find the slope of line is the same as f(a+h)-f(a)/h to find the slope of a curve. I'm not really sure about the differences except that one is the slope of the line and the other is the tangent line.
